Mental Health and Emotional Wellbeing Support

Encouragement, stability and a respectful listening presence

Some adults living with stable mental-health needs benefit from practical assistance, regular encouragement and consistent human connection. Our non-clinical support is designed to complement—not replace—treatment or advice from GPs, community mental-health teams and other qualified professionals.

Support can include:

Encouragement with personal routines and self-care

Compassionate conversation and emotional reassurance

Help to maintain regular meals, hydration and prescribed medication routines

Support to attend planned appointments

Assistance to access suitable community services

Encouragement to take part in hobbies and social activities

Help to build or maintain everyday living skills

Observation of wellbeing and escalation of concerns under the care plan

Practical help to keep the home organised and comfortable

We treat every person with respect and without judgement. Flexxy Care does not provide crisis intervention or emergency mental-health treatment. Anyone at immediate risk, or requiring urgent mental-health assistance, should contact the appropriate NHS crisis service or emergency services.

Hospital Discharge and Reablement

Practical support for a safer and more confident return home

Coming home after surgery, illness or a hospital admission can be a significant adjustment. Our short-term discharge and reablement support is intended to help the individual settle back into their home, manage essential routines and gradually rebuild confidence.

An agreed recovery-focused package may include:

Help with washing, dressing and daily routines, where authorised

Assistance with safe mobility and transfers

Support to follow agreed discharge and medication instructions

Preparing meals and encouraging sufficient food and fluids

Collecting groceries and essential household items

Light household tasks that help maintain a safe recovery environment

Laundry and changes of bed linen

Support to attend follow-up appointments

Encouragement to practise agreed daily-living activities

Monitoring general wellbeing and reporting any deterioration or concern

Communication with relatives and relevant professionals, with consent

Care plans will be reviewed as the person's strength and confidence improve. Flexxy Care provides home-care and practical support; we do not replace physiotherapy, occupational therapy, nursing or other clinical rehabilitation services.

Medication Support

Helping people follow prescribed medication routines safely

The amount of medication support a person requires will be established through assessment and documented in their care plan. We will encourage independence where appropriate and provide only the level of assistance that has been agreed.

Depending on the person's needs, staff competence and regulatory permissions, support may include:

Reminding the person that medication is due

Prompting the person to take medication independently

Assisting with medication as described in the care plan

Administering prescribed medication where authorised and appropriate

Completing Medication Administration Records when required

Supporting agreed storage and ordering arrangements

Recording and reporting refused, missed or delayed doses

Reporting suspected side effects or other medication concerns

Contacting an authorised representative, pharmacy or healthcare professional when necessary

Flexxy Care staff will not prescribe medicines, alter dosages or make independent clinical decisions about a person's treatment. Medication support will follow the current prescription, the care plan and the company's approved procedures.

Personal Assistant and Companionship

Everyday help that keeps people active, organised and connected

Our personal-assistant and companionship service is for adults who would value flexible support with everyday life, social connection or community participation. It is shaped around the person's interests, goals and preferred routine—not a fixed list of tasks.

Support may include:

Conversation, company and shared activities

Accompaniment to appointments, shops or social events

Support to attend places of worship or community groups

Encouragement with hobbies, exercise and leisure activities

Help to organise letters, appointments and daily routines

Grocery shopping and essential errands

Meal planning and preparation

Encouragement with eating and drinking

Light cleaning connected to the person's care and wellbeing

Laundry and bed-linen changes

Support with local travel and accessing services

Companionship while a relative or unpaid carer takes a break

We work alongside the person rather than taking over their life. Household help is limited to reasonable light tasks and does not include deep cleaning, property repairs or commercial cleaning. If regulated personal care is required, it must be separately assessed and can be provided only when the necessary registration and care arrangements are in place.

Respite Care

Dependable temporary support for individuals and family carers

Family members and unpaid carers need time to rest, manage other responsibilities or take a break. Respite care provides temporary continuity of support so the person receiving care can remain safe and comfortable while their usual carer is unavailable.

Subject to assessment, registration and staffing, respite care may include:

Established personal-care and daily routines

Agreed medication assistance

Meal preparation and hydration support

Companionship and suitable activities

Mobility assistance around the home

Dementia-aware support

Support for stable emotional-wellbeing needs

Light household help connected to the care arrangement

Visiting care, extended support or a temporary live-in placement

We will learn the person's usual routines, preferences, communication needs and existing support arrangements before care begins. Planned respite can be booked in advance. Urgent requests may be considered only where an appropriate assessment can be completed and suitable staff are available.

Specialist and Palliative Support

Coordinated care for more complex or changing needs

People living with long-term conditions, recovering from a stroke or approaching the end of life may require carefully coordinated support. Flexxy Care aims to work alongside families and relevant professionals to help the person remain comfortable, respected and involved in decisions about their care.

Where the assessed need is within our registration, competence and staffing capacity, support may include:

Assistance with daily routines affected by a long-term condition

Stroke-aware support with mobility, communication and everyday activities

Comfort-focused personal care

Nutrition and hydration assistance

Emotional support for the individual and those close to them

Monitoring and timely reporting of changes or concerns

Support to follow plans created by qualified healthcare professionals

Practical respite for family members and unpaid carers

Clinical nursing tasks will be undertaken only by appropriately registered professionals and where Flexxy Care is authorised, insured and equipped to provide them. Palliative support does not replace medical care from the NHS, hospices, GPs or community nursing teams.

Flexible Care Options

Support arranged around the person's life

Care needs can change over time. Following assessment and subject to registration and staff availability, possible arrangements may include:

Morning, daytime or evening visits

Short-term recovery support

Longer-term home-care packages

Extended daytime assistance

Sleeping-night or waking-night care

Live-in care

Planned respite support

Additional help following illness or hospital discharge

We will review each care plan at agreed intervals and whenever there is a significant change in circumstances. The person receiving support, and those important to them where appropriate, will be involved in reviewing how well the arrangement is working.

Let Us Help You Explore the Right Support

Choosing care can feel like a major decision. Our team will take time to understand what matters to you, explain which options may be suitable and arrange an assessment before any care package begins.
