Dementia Care
Understanding the person beyond the diagnosis
Dementia support may involve:
Maintaining familiar routines and meaningful daily structure
Providing personal support calmly and without rushing
Prompts and reassurance when the person feels uncertain
Assistance with meals, drinks and agreed medication routines
Activities connected to the person's memories and interests
Communication support and appropriate orientation prompts
Encouragement to make choices and participate in decisions
Support to maintain relationships and community connections
Monitoring changes in presentation or wellbeing and reporting concerns
Helping to reduce avoidable risks within the home
With the person's consent or the appropriate legal authority, we can work alongside relatives, representatives and relevant health or social-care professionals. Our focus is to protect dignity, encourage inclusion and help the person experience comfort, purpose and the greatest achievable independence.
